Communication. Experiments with the blind cabbages:
Teachers from the schools participating in the project have presented the communication " READILY AVAILABLE FREE MOBILE AND TABLET APPLICATIONS TO HELP THE INCLUSION OF BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED PUPILS IN THE SCIENCE LABORATORIES " in the EDULEARN23 (17th annual International Technology, Education and Development Conference) held in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) – 3rd, 4th and 5th of July, 2023. The communication presents some examples of how apps (for iOS, Android and Windows devices) can be used to expand the number of experiments that blind, low-vision pupils or students with other disabilities (e.g. dyslexic or other print-disabled pupils) can conduct more autonomously in the science laboratories.
Communication. Pictograms
Teachers from the University of Burgos and the IES Teguise have presented the communication " MORE ACCESSIBLE AND INCLUSIVE LAB EXPERIMENTS THROUGH EASY READING AND PICTOGRAMS " in the EDULEARN23 (17th annual International Technology, Education and Development Conference) held in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) – 3rd, 4th and 5th of July, 2023. The communication shows a series of laboratory experiments written in easy-to-read language, which is a method of adapting materials to make them more intuitive as well as easier to read, understand and interpret.
