Horticultural landscaping of the school - Planting aromatic herbs


The activity was planned and realized with the parents of the students in the grade teaching.
The students prepared at home brought their own pot for the plants and the necessary planting tools: shovels, rakes, buckets, water sprinklers. The school provided seeds for planting from aromatic herbs: mint, basil, oregano, coriander.
The activity took place in the school yard. The students received a short lecture on the properties of aromatic herbs, the procedure for their planting and cultivation. The lecture was given by the professor of biology. Parents actively participated in the process of planting the seeds of aromatic herbs and were supportive of teachers and students.
After the plants were planted, the students were given the task of writing down the name of the plant and their name on their pot. They will observe the process of germination and growth of the plant. So they will grow their plants until the end of the school year and then they will take them home and continue growing them.
The whole activity passed in a pleasant and cheerful atmosphere.
